Abstract: 

In this talk, we will derive a  local  first order estimate for any four dimensional spacetime,  in terms of local bounds of the Ricci curvature and Lie derivative of the Lorentzian metric with respect to a timelike vector field.  Higher order estimates can also be obtained provided more covariant derivatives of the Ricci curvature and Lie derivative of the metric are bounded.
