Title: Characters of GL(n,q）and vertex operators

Abstract: We give a new approach to compute irreducible characters of the general linear group over the finite field. The vertex algebraic method enhanced Green's theory and we realized the Hall algebra using two Fock spaces corresponding to extensions of Galois fields and their duals. As a result, a general formula of character values is obtained. This is joint work with Y. Wu.

Title: Fusion actions and categorical orbifold theory

Abstract: I will discuss our recent investigation into the generalized symmetries of condensable algebras in modular tensor categories. The mian results inculde Schur-Weyl duality, Galois correspondence and  categorical orbifold theory. This is a joint work with Siu-Hung Ng， Li Ren and Feng Xu.
