Abstract:

Spatial diamonds were introduced by Scholze to give geometric structure to naturally arising moduli spaces in p-adic Hodge theory. The theory of diamonds can be thought of as a generalization of the theory of rigid spaces. Scholze further proposes the category of v-sheaves as a mean to study spaces of non-analytic nature. Kimberlites are v-sheaves subject to some axioms that capture the key behavior of formal schemes. In this minicourse we discuss the definition of a spatial kimberlite and discuss some key properties that kimberlites have.
