Overview: The recent decades have seen fruitful interactions between geometry and physics, particularly string theory. One of the most important classes of geometries in such interactions is the celebrated Calabi-Yau manifold, whose name originates partly from one of the organizers, Prof. Shing-Tung Yau. Such math-physics interaction is well illustrated in mirror symmetries and the studies of enumerative invariants (Gromov-Witten invariants, Donaldson-Thomas invariants,...) of the Calabi-Yau manifold, each of which has grown into a huge research topic. In this international workshop, we will highlight the Calabi-Yau manifolds and their roles in both mathematics and physics.
