This course will be about the approach suggested by Minkowski to answer number-theoretic questions using the structure of integer lattice in Euclidean spaces. After covering some basic examples, we will see his two theorems on convex bodies and their applications. In the second half, we will go over the parametric geometry of numbers which has been recently introduced by Schmidt-Summerer and extended by Roy amongst others.
