Description:

The comparison of relative trace formulae introduced by Jacquet is powerful tool to study integral representations of automorphic L-functions. In these lectures, we shall explain Jacquet’s seminal paper on this subject. Time permitting, we shall also introduce certain higher-dimensional generalisations.
